After a huge initial success with her first japanese debut album - Listen to my heart, Boa is back with a second album, with better songs & better dances. Her hit song "Valenti" resembles "Listen to my heart", but only with a faster tempo.. Boa's voice has improved significantly.. You can hear this from "Jewel Song" where you would notice that she can control her voice much better as compared to her last album.. The style of this album follows the first album - rnb & pop.. Another rnb song which you guys may be interested in would be "Miracle" .. It is slower than Valenti, but in terms of the arrangement and tune, it is better.. The catchy tempo with a little english thrown in here and there makes it ever so alluring... Though Boa's english may not be very clear, but this certainly add on to the enjoyment of the song... :P
This is Utada Hikaru's 12th Single named Colors. I find the lyrics very poetic, if you want to read it, go to my cosy corner - Lyrics. This song shows another unexpected surprise in it's tempo. The tempo changes from one sentence to another, which makes it hard to catch when you first hear it. The second song, "Simple and Clean" was used in the American version of the game 'Kingdom of Hearts'. This song combined a few bars of another song, "Uso mitai na I Love You", in it's opening chorus. And this song is relatively slower than the original version of Hikari. Though the structure is quite the similar, but it is not the same after all. Quite a remarkable single, giving audience a different taste of music.
